In short
Tammuz is the Hebrew summer month whose Kabbalistic sense is sight. It contains the fast of the seventeenth of Tammuz, which marks the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem and opens the Three Weeks of mourning leading to Tisha B'Av. Its inner work is seeing clearly: noticing the crack while there is still time to repair it.
Today & tomorrow are Rosh Chodesh Tammuz. Yayy.
Rosh Chodesh means “Rosh Chadash”, a “new head or consciousness”.
The new month/moon are a time to “recalibrate”, introspect, let go and begin again.
This month, Tammuz, is a “boring” month because there are no major holidays in.
It's a bit like the middle chapter of a book. Not dramatic.
Not the beginning. Not the climax.
To me, Tammuz is the month of “integration”, it tests what remains after inspiration fades. So let’s dive innn.
“It’s getting hot in here”
Summer has arrived here in Israel. ☀️
Skin’s getting darker, hair’s getting lighter, and there is that end-of-the-year vibe in the air.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe spoke about how easy it is during the summer to be focused on the physical. Vacations. Beach days. Summer bodies. Late nights. Travel plans.
Yet he taught that this is exactly when we should strengthen our focus on the spiritual.
To deepen our connection to Hashem. To reconnect to our purpose.
Our souls do not take a vacation.
Practical takeaway:
How are you adding more spirituality to your life this summer? Sit and set an intention. I am learning the deeper meaning of the morning prayers so I can start the day with deeper Kavana through a Siddur called “Beloved of the soul”

Connecting to the light within.
Kabbalah teaches that the sense of the month is “sight”
The transformation of Tammuz is seeing things with a “good eye” and not a “bad eye” “ what story / perception am I
chosing
to see in the reality before me”
Seeing things as they are
This month, take a look inside, remove illusions and see things “as they are”
To see ourselves, our relationships, and our lives as they truly are.
Pirkei Avot says:
“Who is wise? One who sees what is being born.”
IN OTHER WORDS:
“Who is wise? One who foresees the consequences of her actions.”

17th of Tammuz – Fast Day and beginning of Three Weeks (a mourning period leading to Tisha B’Av
Five tragedies occurred on this day, including the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem which lead to the destruction of the 2nd Temple.
The walls do not collapse overnight.
First, a crack appears.
Then a breach. Only later comes destruction.
Connected to the idea of sight above, perhaps this is one of the deepest lessons of Tammuz.
To pay attention while there is still time to repair.
To SEE what has been neglected before it becomes broken.
Because what we are willing to see, we can change.
And what we refuse to see often continues growing in the shadows.
BH I will send an email about the fast in 2+weeks.

My Wellness Tip for the month.
Stop consuming so much BS content. Switch your phone off on hour before bed and one hour after you wake up. Get an alarm clock or make a plan.
This will change your life.
How I celebrate Rosh Chodesh
I do something for myself.. go on a long walk, have a delicious meal, do something that brings you joy.
Say Hallel - if you do not want to pray from the book, spend time saying thank you for everything you have, you can list the things, make it your own.
I review notes from the month before as well as photos on my phone.
I do an accounting of the month that passed.. what happened, what am I releasing, my goals, intentions.
I learn about the new month & prepare for it. (And write this ;))
PS. This past month I launched my Mini Series called Feminine Rising
You can binge all 7 parts in 50 minutes.
PS we are 3 months away from Rosh Hashana - now is the time to “wrap up the year”, Time to look back and see what the final milestones you want to reach by the new year BH.
Love you lots and see you soon.
