In short
Nissan is the Hebrew month of spring containing Pesach, and the Torah calls it the first of the months. It is the new year of the Jewish people, counted from the Exodus, alongside Rosh Hashanah in Tishrei which is the new year of creation. Its name is linked to nes, miracle, and its Kabbalistic sense is speech.
Hey loves,
Rosh Chodesh was a few days ago, and this is the hardest it’s been for me to write since I started. Something in me feels low. As strong as we all are right now, there’s a weight to this time that’s hard to explain.
Weeks of war with no end in sight do something to you - the sleepless nights, the panic at every siren, seeing places in your own neighborhood get hit. It’s a lot.
And still, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
Something in this is refining me, growing me. Even in the fear and exhaustion, I feel myself revealing Hashem in a deeper way.
Also… BH this newsletter just passed 500 people 🤍 I can’t believe it. So here we gooooooo.
So now for Nissan - The Month Where Everything Begins Again
As I always share, according to Kabbalah, each month of the Jewish year carries its own spiritual structure: a letter, a zodiac sign, a tribe, a sense, a colour, and an organ of the body.
These are the blueprint of the month.
Nissan corresponds to the letter hei, the zodiac sign Aries (Taleh), the tribe Yehuda, the sense of speech, the colour - a radiant red, and the organ of the liver.
It’s the month of spring, of emergence, of something new pushing through.
You can feel it around you (especially if you’re in the northern hemisphere) — Tel Aviv is looking gorgeous. Trees and bushes are blooming, the light is shifting, the air is changing.
Because this world is holographic, what’s happening outside is also reflected within us.

Nissan comes from the word
nes
- miracle.
But not necessarily in the supernatural way we imagine.
A miracle, here, is when a deeper layer of reality reveals itself.
When what looked impossible begins to shift.
The “other new year”
In Jewish time, the year begins twice - once for the
world
(Rosh Hashana) and once for the
Jewish people
. The Torah declares Nissan as “the first of months” because it marks the birth of the nation after we left Egypt, the moment we stepped into covenant and identity.
One is universal, the other covenantal; one speaks to humanity, the other to Israel. To live with both is to remember that as Jews are not only children of creation, but also partners in redemption.
Aka : you were not born a Jew for no reason, and we are here to do OUR MISSION!

Next week we have Pesach! Mitzrayim — Egypt — shares a root with
meitzarim
, constriction. Tightness. Limitation.
Nissan is the movement out of that. Out of the places we’ve felt stuck, out of the identities we’ve outgrown, out of the patterns that quietly keep repeating themselves.
And here’s something I’ve been thinking about from
Psycho-Cybernetics
— we don’t experience reality exactly as it is, we experience it through the self-image we hold. When that inner image shifts, our reality begins to reorganize around it.
This is the energy of Pesach. Am Yisrael didn’t just leave Egypt physically. They left a mindset — the belief that things couldn’t change. And that’s the real invitation of this month.

The Power of Speech
Nissan is also about speech. Pesach —
Peh Sach
— “the mouth speaks.” This can be in the sense of letting something that’s been sitting inside you finally move outward.
And also speech is prayer - of speaking to Hashem in your own words. No book, no rules, just heart to “heart”! Go out to nature talk to The Creator, HeSheThey is waiting.
Happy Nissan 🤍
I’ll share more as we get closer to Pesach — there’s so much more!
All my love,

5 ways to live Nissan right now:
Name your “Mitzrayim”
— where do you feel stuck?
Take one small step
— don’t overthink it, just move.
Use your voice
— speak to Hashem, real and unfiltered.
Get into your body
— walk, breathe, reconnect.
Expect miracles
— even if you can’t see it yet.
Ps did you know that in Nissan
